Your use of our website at https://fireandwattle.com.au and Fire and Wattle Online (the “Platform”) is governed by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the
Platform.
These Terms of Use are effective as of 1st July 2025.
Acceptance of Conditions
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) outline the conditions for your organisation’s access to, and use of, Fire and Wattle Online, including all training content, technology, and resources provided on the Platform.
By accessing the Platform, you acknowledge that:
- You are an authorised representative of your organisation with the authority to agree to these Terms, and
- Your organisation accepts these Terms without limitation or qualification.
Access and continued use of the Platform is conditional upon compliance with these Terms.
Variation of the Terms of Use
We may update these Terms from time to time. The most recent version will always be available on our website.
Where material changes are made, we will notify the primary contact for your organisation at least 10 business days prior to the changes taking effect.
Continued use of the Platform after this notice period constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Definitions
Organisation: A business, company, government body, not-for-profit entity, or other corporate client licensed to use Fire and Wattle Online.
Authorised User: An employee, contractor, or associate of an Organisation who has been granted access to the Platform under that Organisation’s licence.
Personal Information: Information as defined under our Privacy Policy.
Administrator: The individual nominated by the Organisation to manage user accounts and communications with Fire and Wattle.
Privacy Policy
By agreeing to these Terms, you also agree to our Privacy Policy.
Any Personal Information provided to us by your Organisation or Authorised Users will be collected, stored, and used in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable Usage
User Responsibilities
All Authorised Users must:
- Use the Platform only for internal training and development purposes.
- Maintain the confidentiality of login details.
- Respect the intellectual property and rights of Fire and Wattle and other users.
- Notify their Organisation’s Administrator or Fire and Wattle if they suspect unauthorised access.
Prohibited Conduct
The following behaviours are strictly prohibited:
- Attempting to gain unauthorised access or disrupt the Platform.
- Copying, redistributing, or commercially exploiting training content without written consent.
- Uploading or distributing unlawful, offensive, or harmful content.
- Harassment of other users, administrators, or Fire and Wattle staff.
Registration and Access Rights
Organisations may register multiple Authorised Users under a licence agreement. Accounts are individual and must not be shared between users.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all content provided through the Platform is licensed for internal, non-commercial training purposes only.
Fire and Wattle reserves the right to add, modify, or remove content at any time as part of ongoing improvements.
Termination of Access
Fire and Wattle may suspend or revoke access to the Platform for:
- Breach of these Terms,
- Misuse of the Platform, or
- Expiry or termination of an Organisation’s licence.
Organisations may terminate their use of the Platform in accordance with their licence agreement.
Intellectual Property
Fire and Wattle IP
All content on the Platform, including training modules, videos, quizzes, assessments, software, and documentation, is protected by copyright and remains the property of Fire and Wattle Pty Ltd or its partners.
You may not copy, edit, reproduce, or redistribute any content except as expressly permitted under your Organisation’s licence agreement.
Organisation Data
Any data entered into the Platform by Authorised Users remains the property of the Organisation. Fire and Wattle may use de-identified, aggregated data for analytics, reporting, or service improvement.
Disclaimer
The Platform is provided as a training and information resource only. While Fire and Wattle endeavours to ensure accuracy, all content is provided “as is” and may include errors or omissions.
We do not warrant or guarantee that:
- The Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free, or
- Content is complete, current, or suitable for any specific business need.
Organisations are responsible for making their own assessments before relying on the content.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fire and Wattle excludes all liability for:
- Loss or damage arising from use or inability to use the Platform,
- Indirect, special, or consequential losses, or
- Loss of business, profits, or data.
Nothing in these Terms excludes guarantees or rights conferred under Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Security
Organisations are responsible for ensuring their systems and devices are secure when accessing the Platform. Fire and Wattle does not guarantee the security of information transmitted over the internet.
Governing Law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Organisations agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
